The Colgout Dosage report contains prescribing information for colchicine marketed as Colcrys in USA.

Like Colcrys in the United States, Colgout is a brand name for colchicine, therefore wherever you see any reference to Colgout, Clocrys, or colchicine, they all relate to the same drug.

Dosage recommendations may vary from country to country, and from doctor to doctor. Newest guidelines are to limit Colgout to one or two tablets per day. If this does not bring sufficient relief, supplement with appropriate pain relief as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.

Colgout is not a pain reliever in its own right. It stops, or slows, inflammation spreading, but it does not actively reduce inflammation, and it does not block pain signals.
