Conversely, when the uric acid level falls below a certain level, any existing crystals will start to dissolve. The certain level referred to above is known as the saturation point. The saturation point is different for everyone, and it changes according to certain factors, including temperature and blood pH level. Other factors, such as injury, can also trigger a change in body chemistry that cause uric acid to crystallize.
