Gouty Privacy Policy Statement

This gouty site is published by Keith Taylor.

Your privacy is important to me. I am not seeking any medical or health information from you. I do not provide any medical services, and you should not use my contact information to seek my opinions about your health. Having said that, if there are any circumstances where I do receive such information, I will honor and seek to exceed the legal requirements for medical and health information privacy in whichever country you reside.

For each visitor to each gouty web page, my server automatically recognizes their IP address.

I collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with me via e-mail, the e-mail addresses of those who subscribe to email versions of RSS feeds, and aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit.

The information I collect is used to improve the content of my gouty arthritis advice service, disclosed when legally required to do so, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing my website and applicable laws or to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of my website. Other than this legal disclosure, I will not disclose your information to any other third party, nor will I use it for anything other than communicating with you about the gout services on this website.

With respect to cookies: I use cookies to store visitors preferences.

If you do not want to receive e-mail from me in the future, please let us know using the contact details below, or follow the instructions in the email you were sent. To stop receiving email updates, simply click the unsubscribe link near the end of the email.

If you supply me with your postal address via email, you will only receive the information for which you provided your address.

With respect to Ad Servers: To try and bring you offers that are of interest to you, I have relationships with other companies that I allow to place ads on my Web pages. As a result of your visit to my site, ad server companies may collect information such as your domain type, your IP address and clickstream information.

  • Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to your website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Ads Settings. (Alternatively, you can direct users to opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.)

From time to time, I may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in my privacy notice. If my information practices change at some point in the future, I will contact you before I use your data for these new purposes to notify you of the policy change and to provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses.

Upon request I provide site visitors with access to all information [including proprietary information] that I maintain about them. Visitors can access this information by contacting me.
