Gout Help

Gout help is what GoutPal.com is all about. Help and advice for gout sufferers and their carers.

I believe that the best way you can help your gout is to learn more about it, which is why I have written articles on just about every aspect of gouty arthritis.

Please Help My Gout

But sometimes, you are in so much pain that you just want help now. Here is how to get gout help fast.

The fast way to get immediate answers to your burning gout questions is to ask in the gout forum. But there could be an even quicker way – especially if your question has been asked before.

Though gout affects people in many different ways, there are several questions that crop up time and again. Your fastest gout help is to see if these questions apply to you and read the answers. If those answers do not suit you, the gout forum is there for you.

The gout forum includes a complete archive of all the questions that have been asked before, together with the answers. Quite often, the answer is in the reference pages here.

To help you find the right help reference pages, they are grouped in the sections below. Before we look at them, there is one issue that applies to almost every gout question we see.

Best Gout Help

The one thing, above all others, that you can do to help your gout is to know your uric acid number. That number affects your gout diagnosis, your diet, your treatments, your very quality of life.

Confusingly, two different scales (mg/dL and mmol/L), are used depending on your country. I can help you interpret and convert these different scales, but neither you or I can do much without your uric acid level. It must be a number – high/low/normal assessments are totally meaningless for gout sufferers and may be misleading.

I repeat, the best gout advice I can ever give you is: Know your uric acid number.”

If you want to get the ultimate gout help, you have to take this a little further. You need a little bit more information, but your reward is better gout control. For want of a snappier title, I call this the Gout Arthritis Plan. It is completely free, and I give you all the help you need in the Gouty Arthritis Guidelines.
