Bartter’s syndrome is a state of high alkalinity in the body. Like gouty arthritis, it is a complex syndrome with a significant effect from kidney function. This report indicates that one of the three different type of Bartter’s Syndrome is particularly associated with gout due to specific effects of kidney excretion and reabsorption.
