More than that, it is a place where you can ask questions about your own gout, and clarify points made here, or anywhere else on the Internet.
The forum itself is very easy to use, but you will get more out of it if you follow some simple guidelines.
The secret of getting the best gout discussion is what you put into it. Though I have written some forum guidelines, most is common sense.
If you make your question clear, and add as much relevant information as you can, you will get answers much more quickly.
Like this website, the gouty arthritis forums are divided into different sections. It is a good idea to look at the first few topics in each forum to see what is currently being discussed. You will often find that we are discussing the very thing that is concerning you, and you can easily join that discussion.

As of October 2011, I am moving the forums to new software. In the process, I will split the forums into Gout Question And Answer (Q&A) pages, and Gout Debate pages. The Q&A pages ensure that questions remain focused on specific help for a specific problem. The Gout Debate pages give a wider scope for discussion, and opportunities for you to create your own articles that explain your opinions and experiences.
