Look for a well balanced breakfast that will set you up for the day.

Good eating habits start with a good breakfast, and it's important to kickstart your metabolism with a healthy meal. The healthiest breakfast cereals are whole foods, which tend to be acid forming, presumably because of the bran. But you need some acid foods in your diet so the best choice is a wholegrain cereal with fruit for pH balance. Don't forget that the tables list 100 gram portions, and you should eat about one third of that. Most cereals are easily balanced with a glass of fruit juice and a piece of fruit. For the most acid producing cereals, think about mixing the cereal with dried fruit.
