Veggies Make Great Gout Foods

When you are looking for gout foods to lower uric acid, vegetables are the best starting point. Most have an alkalizing effect on the body, giving the gout sufferer real benefits.

I have moved the table of PRAL values for vegetables, referred to below, to a new food diary project.


Only spices offer more alkaline foods, but these are really concentrated vegetable products. For alkalizing food in bulk, a good selection of vegetables from the table below is your best option. Don't forget, you still need some acid foods to maintain a healthy variety of nutrients.
